Hmm...looks like I posted too soon. I didn't notice that potemkin.c had an *fid_fullname function that is called on some upcalls. Anyway, if anyone can provide some additional insights on what else I can do (I'm still wondering if manipulating the hoard database like this is really a good idea), I'd appreciate it very much.
