Yes, the CMU depot paper prior to the depot program was the origin of
the depot ideas and name.  That's why I was a little surprised Peter
hadn't heard of it.

Between those two features it solves the whole problem.  Although I
would be happier to remove the symlinks and do the @sys functionality
at mount time.  Symlinks mean pwd still doesn't do what users expect.
