I'm seeing absolutely no problems with RVM setup here. OTOH, I don't
have a redhat 6.1 system available right now.

Could someone please grab and recompile RVM on a RH-6.1 box. Maybe there
are yet again glibc library issues at play.

ftp://ftp.coda.cs.cmu.edu/pub/rvm/redhat-linux/SRPMS/rvm-1.0-1.src.rpm

# rpm -ba rvm-1.0-1.src.rpm
# rpm -Uhv --force /usr/src/redhat/RPMS/i386/rvm-1.0-1.i386.rpm
# rpm -Uhv --force /usr/src/redhat/RPMS/i386/rvm-tools-1.0-1.i386.rpm

And try running the 'vice-setup-rvm' script again.
