Strange, it tries to connect to ip-address 0.0.0.0. Is the hostname
lookup for the host you specified while running venus-setup succeeding?
This one should also be listed in /etc/coda/venus.conf as the
rootserver. If you want to restart venus while disconnected you might
want to put that hostname/ip-address in /etc/hosts.

It could also be that the hostname lookup on the SCM failed while
creating the volume, in that case the volume replication and location
databases are not correct. If the problem is there, restart the server
after fixing the name lookups and, on the SCM, run

  # bldvldb.sh && volutil makevrdb /vice/vol/VRList
