I have strange trouble with coda 5.3.8 and 5.3.10:
After having created the 12th volume, the output of the 
command
# volutil getvolumelist
is garbled: the line with the last volume contains some
non-printable binary characters.  This breaks createvol_rep
and seems to be an evil thing anyway.

Has anybody seen this behaviour before or does anybody
know a fix?

Some information about my system:
PIII-500MHz, 256MB
Linux Mandrake 7.2 with Kernel 2.4.0-test12 and devfs aktivated.
I do not use any raw partitions for coda.
The machine that runs the (only) server also is a client, but 
even without venus running, the problems remain.

I both compiled coda 5.3.10 myself and installed 5.3.8
from an RPM - both with the same un-satisfying results.
