 Hello, Coda hackers!

I have one problem using venus, when I load venus, I have the error:

GetRootVolume: can't get root volume name!

 My /etc/hosts file is:

10.1.2.202 client
10.1.2.203 server
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost

as client as server have this hosts file. "/etc/host.conf" have:

order hosts,bind
multi on

 on two machines, and:

codasrv 2432/tcp codasrv
codasrv 2432/udp codasrv
codasrv-se 2433/tcp codasrv-se
codasrv-se 2433/udp codasrv-se
codaauth2 370/tcp codaauth2
codaauth2 370/udp codaauth2

is on the "/etc/services" of the two machines.

Portmap is running on the two machines. The server runs:

portmap
auth2
rpc2portmap
updatesrv -p /vice/db
updateclnt -h server
/bin/sh /usr/sbin/startserver
codasrv

 And the client runs:

portmap
venus

Two both were instalated as the RPM Mandrake package:

coda-debug-backup-5.3.8-4mdk.i586.rpm
coda-debug-client-5.3.8-4mdk.i586.rpm
coda-debug-server-5.3.8-4mdk.i586.rpm

And configured with the vice-setup (server) and venus-setup (client)
without problems.

The client gives the following full message:

15:25:44 /usr/coda/LOG setup for size 0x288477
15:25:44 /usr/coda/DATA initialized at size 0xa211dc

15:25:46 Getting Root Volume information...

 and them:

15:26:16 GetRootVolume: can't get root volume name!

each 30 seconds.

The server does perceive nothing on his logs, what should mean that it is
not connecting client and server in any way. The two see between them with
ping, telnet and ftp.

 Any help?

 Yours faithfully:

David
